Chef Zacki grew up in Chapel Hill with gardens, woods and a fresh stream where watercress and crayfish grew. This began her lifetime love of earth's yield and creating something wonderful from its organic soil. Home economics in high school further piqued her interest. Later, she earned an Art Edu degree from UNC.
After college, Chef Zacki became a Ford model, shot over 100 commercials and traveled the world where she was exposed to many different cuisines and hospitality. Iran, Vietnam, South Africa, Chile, Pakistan, Thailand were some of these magical places, which influenced her cooking today.
