Chef Roosevelt was born and raised in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. He began his foray into the restaurant world when a childhood friend gave him his first job as a dishwasher. He didn't know it then, but it was there that his passion for food and all things hospitality began. As a self taught Chef, he has been working in restaurants at all levels since, honing his skills as a Sous Chef, Line Cook as well as Restaurant Management. 

Chef Roosevelt cites his grandfather as one of his biggest influences, noting his remarkable work ethic and undeniable drive that keeps him laser focused on his craft.
